The dynamic MooreGemistry Team was founded to promote creativity, to support talent and to foster the lively exchange of knowledge and ideas throughout the gem and jewellery community.
The MooreGemistry has been in the gem and jewellery business for more than 30 years and has always worked along strict professional principles. Ever since its establishment over 3 decades ago, MooreGemistry has been pursuing the highest possible quality standards and refrained from making any compromises regarding analytical infrastructure as well as internal regulations and processes.
Eng. Carl Moore, an early pioneer in the analytics of gemstones, dedicated his life to search and share knowledge on gemstones, and thus creating transparency in the gemstone industry. Up to this day, his quest for knowledge, working attitude, and ethical standard serve as a role model for the MooreGemistry brand. To warrant and perpetuate his outstanding quality standards, the MooreGemistry family has imposed the MooreGemistry with its very own label - the MooreGemistry Seal. It stands as a quality hallmark outlining a set of guidelines that must be followed in order for it to be included on a gemmological document.
The MooreGemistry team consists of highly qualified and experienced specialists from all around the continent; between them they speak different languages - not forgetting "Gemmology", one of the languages they all have in common! Each team member is trained specifically in his or her field of work, such as gemmology, the operation of analytical instruments - even gemstone photography. Every gemmologist has a degree in an Earth Science (Geology, Mineralogy, Crstallography, Geography and so forth) complemented by a degree in Gemmology
Founder

Carl Moore was born in to a family of miners, he grew up being exposed to Precious Gems Stones at an early age, being the only son of a Miner father.
He studied studied Mining and Geology engineering at the the prestigious Tallin University of Technology (TUT), and worked several years in the engineering field, before deciding to join the gem and jewellery Industries. Colleagues describes Carl Moore as a king of gems, and tells how he was captivated by the legendary merchant’s innate affinity with gemstones and the revered position he occupied in the industry.
Carl worked with Gemological Institute of America(GIA) - USA, during which time the Institutes handled some of the world’s most famous and historic stones, as well as rare and record-breaking coloured diamonds. In the early 1990's, Carl Moore joined force with Matthew Crippen to establish their own company MooreGem. In 2008, Matthew Crippen Retired
Today, working alone with incredible team, Carl Moore continues to source extraordinary diamonds and coloured stones, which he sets into jewels of classical splendour. He is known for his expertise and his passions and knowledge of Kashmir sapphires and natural pearls.
Carl Moore has been active in various industry organisations, including the International Colored Gemstones Association, (ICA) and the Swiss Gemmological Laboratory, (SSEF); American Gemological Laboratories(AGL) - USA, American Gem Society(AGS) - USA, Canadian Gemmological Association (CGA) to mention a few.
Holding several positions of authority, he has worked and continues to work tirelessly to ensure and enhance the ethics and integrity of the industry he loves.
